Los Angeles-based artist Megan Whitmarsh has been invited to participate in the 2021 Textile Biennial at the Museum Rijswijk in Holland from 29 August 2021 to 9 January 2022. The event is titled “Food For Thought” and the artists participating reflect on food and consumption. Megan’s oeuvre examines personal issues, social issues, and current affairs with a rich vocabulary of found materials and fabric. By creating collages that are inspired by traditional painting compositions, she expresses her worldview as a female artist grappling with contemporary everyday issues with a keen analytical eye and sharp wit.
