Michael John Kelly imagines abstracted personalities residing in parallel planes. With a painter’s focus and an unquiet mind, Kelly conjures emotional realities and primal landscapes from new and traditional mediums. Fantasy cinema, science fiction and anime merge with a post-punk wall of sound in chaotic tableaus that reach toward sublime infinity.

He received his MFA in painting from the University of California, Los Angeles. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles, CA, USA. Michael John Kelly has exhibited in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Basel, London, Duesseldorf, Berlin and Istanbul. He lives and works in Los Angeles.
