Ron Chen Biography

Ron Chen holds a BFA from Bezalel Academy of art in Jerusalem in 2018 (Exchange in Slade school of art in 2016).

In his work, Chen examines a fundamental human condition of nomadity, which is both mental and physical.

Through the use of two different approaches to the image (Intuitive drawing and Impressionistic painting), he reflects upon the conflicted self, torn between the physical space of the body, and the immaterial space of the image.

Participated in numerous group shows in Israel, including: “Zoom” at the Steinhardt Museum (2019), “Determination” at the Rothschild center (2020) and “The Sand Artist” at P8 gallery (2022).

In 2020 the artist had is first solo show with Hezi Cohen (TLV).

In 2021, the artist was awarded the “Eugen Kolb Prize” by the Tel Aviv Museum – for his work on paper.

Second solo show with Hezi Cohen gallery took place in Feb 2023.

His works are in the collection of the Tel Aviv Museum of art, E.Sun bank Taiwan, and private collections worldwide.
