The artist’s solo show titled a “Marching Band to Nowhere” is inspired by the chaos of last year, finding a voice in the global community’s want for normalcy after the dramatic health and political events that took hold of the US, as well as rest of the world.
The title of the show is the perfect metaphor for the artist’s perspective of 2020- how everyone took to the streets this year voicing grief and concerns but in the end nothing seems resolved. This is Adam Beris’s second solo show with Over the Influence. This collection displays his signature style of applying paint straight from the tube to enthusiastically reconstruct everyday objects and people with artistic glee.
