Wonder of the Mountain and Silence of the Sea

Verapat Sitipol is a Thai artist born in 1980. In 2004, Verapat graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Painting from Silpakorn University in Thailand. He graduated with a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Painting from Visva-Bharati University in Santiniketan, India in 2006. The artist's abstract paintings explore the powerful relationship between line and color. He believes that the symbolic exchange between the realist and the artistic opens up many avenues of inspiration within his work. He has been exhibiting all over the world for more than 15 years. He lives and works in Kanchanaburi, Thailand. “As my birthplace, Thailand is the country of joy and known as the Land of Smiles. I have grown up in this warmhearted culture. These emotions have unconsciously influenced my practice as a painter to keep the harmony between vibrant and warm reflections of the world around us. This philosophy mirrors my DNA of my paintings”.
