Andy Dixon’s solo exhibition “Masterpieces!” is currently on view at OTI LA until 18 April 2021. The exhibition is a continuation of Dixon’s exploration of the intersection of capitalism and fine art. He started working on the exhibition a year ago and throughout the COVID lockdown in Los Angeles. The exhibition’s name “Masterpieces!” can be interpreted in many ways – as a reference to the original paintings or to his own or both. Moreover, Dixon describes that the word “masterpieces” as a cliché overused in popular culture.
