The Value Spotlights Vhils at UNSCHEDULED Hong Kong

UNSCHEDULED returned for the second year in Hong Kong from 2-6 September 2021. The art fair celebrates the city’s urban culture through an artistic lens. Out of the 15 galleries participating, THE VALUE highlighted their top 4 artists who were an important part of Hong Kong’s creative identity: Alexandre Farto aka Vhils, Cheung Tze-hin, Luis Chan, and Gu Benchi. The fair was organized by the Hong Kong Art Gallery Association (HKAGA), and this year’s theme was “Cityspace: A Labyringth of Serendipity”. THE VALUE chose Vhils’ work “Vanish Series No. 3, 2016” to illustrate his creative appreciation for the HK local community. Vhils displayed 5 artworks that were inspired by his travels to Hong Kong and pay respect to the people he befriended and met during his visit. His urban artworks can be found throughout Hong Kong’s cityscape in a variety of locations.
